The 2025 NNA Annual Community Meeting was held in person in Boulder, Colorado on March 23, 2025, in conjunction with Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2025. It was hosted by the NNA Community Office and the University of Colorado Boulder, and brought together NNA researchers, Indigenous community and organization representatives, decision-makers, research partners, and others interested in the NNA initiative. The one-day agenda featured a plenary keynote and emphasized exchange and interaction through community-led discussion groups, recognizing the broader schedule of ASSW events, including the ICARP IV Summit. The NNA Community Office supported the ASSW Indigenous Pavilion, film screenings, and other related events throughout the week.

The Arctic Together Showcase at Alaska Forum on the Environment, was hosted by the NNA-CO a session that highlighted Alaska-based NNA projects with direct and tangible benefits, as well as research and education products relevant to Alaskan communities. The session shared how results from energy, infrastructure, environmental, and social research supported communities across Alaska, including rural villages, and informed environmental decision-makers and monitoring professionals about how these findings could be applied in practice.

The NNA-CO Arctic Climate Change and Community Collaborations Graduate Student workshop took place on the UAF Troth Yeddha’ Campus and at the International Arctic Research Center in Fairbanks, Alaska, and oriented graduate students to core principles in community-based and collaborative Arctic research. Students examined their positionality, learned from Alaska Native Elders and scholars, explored co-production of knowledge, discussed responsible allyship in research, and experienced the Arctic during winter.
