White House Releases Implementation Plan for the United States’ National Strategy for the Arctic Region
The Biden-Harris Administration released the Implementation Plan for the National Strategy for the Arctic Region (NSAR). The NSAR Implementation Plan (NSARIP) serves as a blueprint for an approach to realizing the vision set out in the NSAR and ensures continued collaboration with the wide array of stakeholders with interests in the Arctic.
Science Storytelling Series - Filmmaking Workshop

Meeting Overview: Interested in knowledge translation and techniques for science communication? Join producer, script writer, videographer and editor Dr. Ryan Vachon (Provare Media) for a 90-minute filmmaking workshop. Ryan will work with attendees to identify a project mission statement, provide methods for storyboarding and communication, discuss camera and audio gear, approaches to filming, and provide an overview of basics in editing.

Please join the NNA-CO for a virtual NNA student research showcase, featuring the 2023 NNA-CO undergraduate research students and other graduate and undergraduate students affiliated with NNA projects. In this showcase, students will briefly present their research, followed by Q&A with the audience. This is a great opportunity for students to present and receive valuable feedback from the NNA community prior to AGU 2023 and the 2024 NNA Annual Community Meeting.

Science Storytelling Series: Scenarios of Change
Webinar-
Join the NNA-CO education & outreach team in a hands-on session, practicing a technique that translates data from Arctic region projects and climate projection scenarios into stories of possible futures and actions youth and adults can take to create their best possible future. The workshop will provide lesson plans and hands-on practice with the technique.
Upcoming Deadlines for Participating in Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW) 2024
ASSW 2024, which includes the Arctic Observing Summit (AOS), will be hosted in Edinburgh, Scotland during March 21-29, 2024. Proposals for AOS sessions and short statements are due Sep 1, 2023. Proposals for side meetings are due by Sep 30, 2023.
