The 2026 Navigating the New Arctic (NNA) Annual Community Meeting is an in-person meeting for the NNA initiative. This year's meeting will take place from September 15-17, 2026 at the Wood Center on the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) campus. The gathering will provide an opportunity for NNA researchers, project partners, Arctic Indigenous community and organization representatives, decision-makers, educators, and others to come together to share research outcomes, Arctic community research priorities, lessons learned, and to discuss future opportunities for collaborative, use-inspired Arctic research.

CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS: We invite you to propose a session for our meeting. We will open a call for oral and poster presentations in July. The deadline to submit a session proposal has been extended to June 10, 2026 11:59pm MT.
TRAVEL SUPPORT REQUESTS: Do you have an Indigenous or Arctic community resident partner or early career team member who needs travel support from outside your NNA project budget to attend the meeting? Please have them complete this form or complete it on their behalf. The deadline to submit has been extended to June 10, 2026 at 11:59pm MT. The NNA Community Office has limited funds to support travel requests and will consider all applications after the deadline. After June 10, we will evaluate submitted requests on a rolling basis until our capacity for travel support is met.
